Guacamole (called guacamol in Central America and Cuba) is an avocado-based relish or dip.Of Aztec origin, it was originally valued for its high fat and vitamin content. Guacamole was originally made by mashing the avocado with a molcajete (a type of mortar and pestle) and adding tomatoes and salt. After the arrival of the Spanish conquistadors, guacamole became popular in Spain. Since avocados failed to grow well in Spain guacamole remained an American food.The name guacamole comes from Mexican Spanish via Nahuatl ahuacamolli, from ahuacatl (="avocado") + molli (="sauce"). In Spanish it is pronounced /ɣʷakaˈmole/; in American English it is pronounced /ˌgwɑkəˈmoʊli/ or sometimes in British English /ˌgwækəˈməʊli/.

TV host, George Hirsch has recipes that are easy to make and his recipes work. I have seen his TV show and he is on Regis a lot.His guacamole recipe is out of this world and my family love the choc-brownie cookies.Thought I'd share a good find.

Now that the football season is in, I came across this awesome Guacamole recipe and thought of sharing this with folks in here. I tried this and added extra salt, man it turned awesome. The best was No Fuss No Mess!!

Nachos, made rightMost everyone from Mexico will tell you that there are no Nachos in Mexico. But, there are tostadas, which are crispy fried corn tortillas covered with stuff, which in my opinion is starting to sound quite a lot like the humble nacho…or at least the nacho as I make them!
