All avid Jonas Brothers fans know that, Joe, Nick and Kevin are currently filming a Disney Channel movie called Camp Rock. Well, the film is about a girl named Mitchie Torres (played by Demi Lavato) who desperately wants to spend her summer at a prestigious rock camp, but can only afford to attend if she works in the kitchen as one of the cooks.

Lazy weekends, outdoor cafes, and daylight past 8 p.m. The kids are away at camp and it’s too hot to cook at home anyway. Something about summer makes the thought of eating out especially inviting. The June issue of Bon Appetit magazine lists 10 restaurants as “summer’s hotspots,” new foodie destinations around the country.

A summer camp environment may allow children to take healthy risks in a safe and nurturing environment.
