The Lima Bean Festival, is an annual event held in West Cape May, New Jersey, the "Lima Bean Capital of the World", and is the world's only such celebration. It is held every year in Wilbraham Park on October 6 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. There are Lima Bean chili, Lima Bean soup, Lima bean Salad, Lima Bean Earrings, Lima Bean Tee shirts, Lima Bean candles, Lima Bean birdhouses, Lima Bean cookbooks...in addition to the real live article - baskets of fresh lima beans. A lima bean king and queen are crowned every year. The festival is to honor West Cape May's agricultural heritage.
