Onion rings are a type of fast food commonly found in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, Malaysia and other places. It generally consists of a small ring of onion dipped in batter and then deep fried. The ring-like structure of an onion lends itself well to this mode of preparation.The exact origin of the onion ring is unknown, but in 1933 a recipe for deep-fried onion rings that are dipped in milk then dredged in flour appeared in a Crisco advertisement in The New York Times Magazine.

What really separates this taste from others is the Chardonnay, Swiss cheese, mustard, and the onions. Some people use breadcrumbs instead of Saltine crackers; however I think the crackers give a better texture. Chicken Tamale PieSaute onion and green pepper in butter or margarine. Stir in chicken, olives, tomatoes, chile powder and salt. Cook 10 minutes. Pour into 2 qt. casserole. Top with corn chips dot with butter or margarine. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Serves 6.
