Artist Rama Hughes makes us hungry with his edible tribute to Master Yoda. We can’t help but drool over his Yoda pizza made from olives, broccoli, feta cheese, cauliflower, mushrooms, cheese and sauce. His brother whipped up an impressive Darth Vader pizza pie as well!

The joys of hot sauce are many. Whether it’s slathering it all over a slice of some nice Brooklyn pizza or droppin’ spoonfuls to brighten up a homemade salsa or marinade, you can always count on being satisfied every time you open the fridge and see a nice full bottle, ready to titillate your taste buds.

I coded this web page in Javascript as a way to come up with weird, zany combinations for making a pizza. Only thing I coded specifically to make the pizza not so crazy was to separate the seafood from the "meats" (The pizza will turn out craaaazy). It picks a random crust, a random sauce, up to 3 cheeses, 3 meats and 5 veggies.

The best pizzas achieve a kind of harmonic and textural balance. It's a balance shared by all great dishes. What contributes to that balance? The right combination of tastes and textures. The puffy, chewy and just salty enough crust should play off the oozy, creamy mozzarella and the acidic sweetness of the tomato sauce. I like all my toppings to b

For any traditional company, keeping trade secrets away from the public is very important. Frank's Pizza isn't going to want Tony's Pizza to figure out how they make their community renowned pizza sauce, are they?

Make pizza sauce

Pizza (pronounced /ˈpiːtsə/ listen , in Italian: ) (also occasionally called "pizza pie" in certain parts of the United States) is the name of an oven-baked, flat, usually round bread covered with tomato purée and often mozzarella cheese, with other toppings left optional. While originating as a part of Neapolitan cuisine, the dish has become popular in many different parts of the world. A shop or restaurant where pizzas are made and sold is called a "pizzeria" (from Italian) although the phrase "pizza parlor" is also used in the United States and Canada.Various toppings may be added, most typically:sauce, traditionally tomato-based but pesto, alfredo, barbecue sauce, and occasionally even ketchup are also used;cheese, usually mozzarella but also provolone or a blend of other cheeses;herbs and seasonings such as basil, oregano, and garlic;vegetables such as artichoke hearts, bell peppers, eggplant, olives, onions, and spinach;meat, such as sausage (pepperoni, salami or Italian sausage), ham, bacon, ground beef, and chicken, or seafood such as anchovies, tuna, and shrimp;Other common toppings include mushrooms, tomatoes, and pineapple. In some pizza recipes the tomato sauce is omitted (termed "white pizza"), or replaced with another sauce (usually garlic butter, but sauces can also be made with spinach or onions). In the Philadelphia area there are also tomato pies — sauce only, or sauce with ripe Roma tomatoes and spices but no cheese — and upside-down pizzas, i.e., the cheese on the bottom and topped with sauce. Pizza is normally eaten hot (typically at lunch or dinner), but is sometimes eaten as cold leftovers.
