Chicken is the meat derived from the chicken. It is the most common type of poultry in the world, and is frequently prepared as food in a large number of ways. Most chicken in the United States is consumed by fast food establishments like KFC (made possible by "Colonel" Harland Sanders), Church's, Popeye's, etc.
