Year 2000

Beyond Year 2000

From 1995 through 2000, year2000.com operated as the Year 2000 Information Center, a joint venture between Canadian-based change management consultant Peter de Jager and The Tenagra Corporation in Houston, Texas, under the guidance of Cliff Kurtzman. The Year 2000 problem, also known as the Y2K Bug or Millennium Bug, was expected to cause billions of dollars in damages if computer systems worldwide were not repaired. This web site provided resources and fast-cycle answers that enabled individuals and organizations around the world to take the actions necessary to fix their software and prevent billions of dollars in damages.

Peter de Jager has since founded Technobility.com, a site devoted to the topic of managing change and technology.

Cliff Kurtzman has founded The Domino Principle, a venture that looks at strategies for taking command of our lives through seeing "deep repercussions" in world events and realizing how chain reactions can produce future outcomes.

Peter de Jager is presently planning a ~10 part podcast series "Y2K An Autobiography" scheduled to start Jan 1st 2020. For more information head to https://vimeo.com/327913268.
